We are the students, staff, and parents of the Columbus Magnet School of Norwalk, Connecticut. As the only magnet school in a city of over 80,000 people, our school is as diverse as our community. It is from this diversity that we draw on our greatest strength, our differences. By coming together and celebrating our differences, we have created a very special place to learn. Our differences aren't the only things that make Columbus unique. In fact, there are many unique facets to our school and its philosophy. We use The Bank Street method of teaching at Columbus school, which is quite different from a traditional curriculum. And while there may be a difference in our method, the results we get prove there is more than one way to learn! Some of our ideas and methods have become incorporated into traditional curriculums, helping children learn and grow. The ultimate beneficiaries are our students, and the Norwalk community in general. This site is our way of saying, "Hello world, this is Columbus Magnet School!"
